Our classes are friendly and grouped to your ability, so whether you're a beginner or have a martial art experience, there is something for you at Whiston Taekwondo.

Our youngest member is just 4 and oldest is 50 something.  Some of our members compete and others come for the fitness and because they love it here.  We really do cater for everyone!

Ed Calland

Ed started taekwondo in 2008 after watching his twin boys, Josh and Ethan who were 8 at the time, training.
Ed went from being a sit on the side parent to a competitor and then on to coach.
In March 2016 I successfully achieved my 3rd Dan in WTF

Dave Bellis

As well as coaching at Whiston 4 times per week, Dave also travels around Europe with Harry his son who competes.

Dave is a 2nd Dan in WTF

Grant Jennings

Grant trains and helps coach the beginners and pee wees.
He started Taekwondo in 2012 with his daughter Lois, he is a black belt and now brings 3 of his grandchildren along to classes to train.

Lois Jennings

Lois started her Taekwondo journey in 2012 when she joined with her Dad, Grant.  She recently gained her black belt and coaching badge.

In 2015 Lois travelled to Italy for the world championships where she won gold fighting and bronze in poomsae.

Josh Calland

Josh has competed at the highest level, a former member of the GB Taekwondo team, he has been to World Championships and Grand Prix events.

Josh now coaches the older students and black belts on Thursday's and Saturday's.

Laura Jane Bellis

Laura competes, coaches at Whiston and referees at competitions.
